The Child Cancer Breakfast was held at the Reia Resort in Taipa on 19th March which was another great success. This was a family friendly occasion, with the venue being in such an amazing location and the stunning day was seamless!
Feedback on the day was very reassuring that this appeal is a wonderful way to pull the community together over a tasty breakfast, great purpose, pleasant music, but more so, true spirit.
Professionals Coopers Beach and Mangonui Lions were impressed with the locals generosity raising $4,051.00.
It is nice to see such a lovely crowd of people come together in recognition for these special children and their families who are going through such a tough journey. We look forward to repeating this appeal again next year.

The Child Cancer Foundation aims to reduce the impact of cancer by offering services that ensure children and their families are supported, informed and remain connected at every stage of their cancer journey. 2016 Fundraiser - The sun was shining and was another beautiful day in Taipa with lots of chatter from both the birds and the guests arriving at this amazing location that has a stunning view of Taipa beach. What a wonderful way to start the day with a delicious breakfast while being entertained by Tipu on the guitar followed by Groove Syndicate. There were some great prizes won from the raffles drawn on the day.
Funds collected from the Child Cancer Breakfast and Raffles was $2,409.00 which is great for a little community.

The Professionals group hold a special commitment to ongoing sponsorship for the Child Cancer Foundation and are proud supporters since 1994. During this time, The Professionals have continuously donated money from every sale along with holding annual events or collections to make that difference for families who have a child with cancer that needs hospitalisation. The Foundation receives no government support and relies mainly on sponsorship and the kindness of the public.
We recognise that every week more than three children in New Zealand are diagnosed with cancer. The Child Cancer Foundation aims to reduce the impact of cancer by offering services that ensure children and their families are supported, informed and remain connected at every stage of their cancer journey.
At any one time the Child Cancer Foundation is assisting over 500 families across the country, connecting with families upon diagnosis and offering targeted practical and meaningful assistance in hospital, at home and in the local community.
Professionals Real Estate Group have supported the Foundation since 1994 and have raised over $4.2 million. Professionals are proud to be supporting the Child Cancer Foundation’s 2016 Sibling and Family Camps. These camps are a very important part of the practical support provided to both families and siblings of children with cancer by the Child Cancer Foundation.
Professionals’ fundraising effort has contributed to the purchase of the Foundation’s two holiday homes, which provide much-needed time out for families, as well as the National Support Office for CCF in Auckland.
The Professionals have raised over $4million which have funded two Family places in Auckland and Wellington, purchased two Sunshine Lodge holiday homes in Taupo and Queenstown and assisted with the purchase of a National Centre in Auckland. Professionals, like the brave Child Cancer Foundation ambassadors, would like to make a difference!
This year the Professionals, Coopers Beach Child Cancer appeal will be the fundraiser breakfast at Reia Taipa Resort on 13th March. Sunday’s breakfast has been an enormous success over the last few years and seems to be a great annual way to bring the community together for such a great cause.
With our past events there have funds raised up to around $4,000.00 per year for this Child Cancer appeal.
