Professionals, Coopers Beach in conjunction with Mangonui Lions held our annual Child Cancer Fundraiser Breakfast at Ramada Resort in Taipa on Sunday 7th April 2019.
This event was strongly supported by local businesses, numerous gifts for the hamper prizes, a local musician, and a good number of people that turned up to the event.
The weather was beautiful, entertainment by Gabby, and an outstanding location for all to enjoy.
This hearty event raised $3,664 which is brilliant for a small community.
Professionals are proudly supporting Child Cancer Foundation camps for 2019. These will include SIBS camps (Specially Important Brothers and Sisters), Family and Dad’s camps, run in the North and the South Island together with Camp Quality. Please see dates below of upcoming camps and if they are in your area I will in touch to see if you would like to be involved. Those Professionals members who attended camps this year found it a very rewarding experience.

Sunday 22nd April 2018 we held our annual Child Cancer Breakfast which was a stunning day at the Ramada Resort over-looking the beautiful Taipa Beach. Over 220 locals joined us for the breakfast with anticipation of being a great fundraiser event for a small community which it proved to be by reaching $5,450.00.
Professionals Coopers Beach and the Mangonui Lions Club were impressed by the effort and support everyone put into this event. Thanks to the supporters of the day, the staff at Ramada Resort, Tipu the musician, Coopers Beach 4 Square, Coopers Beach Butchery, Far North ITM, Mangonui Police and all the local businesses that gifted to the incredible raffle prizes.
Professionals are proud to be supporting Child Cancer Foundation’s 2018 Sibling and Family Camps. These camps are a very important part of the practical support provided to both families and siblings of children with cancer by Child Cancer Foundation.

The Child Cancer Breakfast was held at the Reia Resort in Taipa on 19th March 2017 which was another great success. This was a family friendly occasion, with the venue being in such an amazing location and the stunning day was seamless!
Feedback on the day was very reassuring that this appeal is a wonderful way to pull the community together over a tasty breakfast, great purpose, pleasant music, but more so, true spirit.
Professionals Coopers Beach and Mangonui Lions were impressed with the locals generosity raising $4,051.00.
It is nice to see such a lovely crowd of people come together in recognition for these special children and their families who are going through such a tough journey. We look forward to repeating this appeal again next year.
More than 3 children in NZ are diagnosed with cancer each week. The Child Cancer Foundation aims to reduce the impact of cancer by offering services that ensure children and their families are supported, informed and remain connected at every stage of their cancer journey. So a Big thanks to everyone who contributed to this year’s fundraiser for the Child Cancer 2017 Fundraiser.
Professionals group have met and exceeded their target with raising $200,000 in 2017 with overall funds raised now at $4.6 million for the Child Cancer Foundation!

2016 Fundraiser - The sun was shining and was another beautiful day in Taipa with lots of chatter from both the birds and the guests arriving at this amazing location that has a stunning view of Taipa beach. What a wonderful way to start the day with a delicious breakfast while being entertained by Tipu on the guitar followed by Groove Syndicate. There were some great prizes won from the raffles drawn on the day.
Funds collected from the Child Cancer Breakfast and Raffles was $2,409.00 which is great for a little community.
A big thanks to the Mangonui Lions Club for making this all happen and all the wonderful sponsors for their contributions: Reia Taipa beach resort, Coopers Beach Four Square, Far North ITM, Marketing Fuel, Coopers Beach Butchery and Professionals, Coopers Beach.
The Professionals group hold a special commitment to ongoing sponsorship for the Child Cancer Foundation and are proud supporters since 1994. During this time, The Professionals have continuously donated money from every sale along with holding annual events or collections to make that difference for families who have a child with cancer that needs hospitalisation. The Foundation receives no government support and relies mainly on sponsorship and the kindness of the public.
We recognise that every week more than three children in New Zealand are diagnosed with cancer. At any one time the Child Cancer Foundation is assisting over 500 families across the country, connecting with families upon diagnosis and offering targeted practical and meaningful assistance in hospital, at home and in the local community.
Professionals Real Estate Group have supported the Foundation since 1994 and have raised over $4.2 million. Professionals are proud to be supporting the Child Cancer Foundation’s 2016 Sibling and Family Camps. These camps are a very important part of the practical support provided to both families and siblings of children with cancer by the Child Cancer Foundation.
Professionals’ fundraising effort has contributed to the purchase of the Foundation’s two holiday homes, which provide much-needed time out for families, as well as the National Support Office for CCF in Auckland.
The Professionals have raised over $4million which have funded two Family places in Auckland and Wellington, purchased two Sunshine Lodge holiday homes in Taupo and Queenstown and assisted with the purchase of a National Centre in Auckland. Professionals, like the brave Child Cancer Foundation ambassadors, would like to make a difference!
